Vaccines are one of the most successful and cost-effective health interventions in history, saving an estimated 3.5 to 5 million lives per year. However, 25 million children still didn’t receive basic vaccines in 2021. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) is committed to collaboration to ensure all children receive the full benefits of vaccines. Together, AAP, partner pediatric societies, and other immunization leaders work to strengthen immunization service delivery and increase demand so all children can live healthy lives.

In appreciation for the collaboration, innovation, and success of the past eight years of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) funded grants, the AAP is hosting a virtual celebration event on April 25, 2023 in recognition of World Immunization Week. The event will highlight the approach used by AAP and partners to understand and identify local needs, share specific intervention focus areas through partners’ case studies, and outline potential for these efforts to be tools to help get global vaccinations back on track.

Please join us April 25 at from 7:00 – 9:00 am CDT / 12:00 – 2:00 pm GMT!
