Paediatric Association Advocacy for Immunization Priorities Regional Immunization Champions Workshop in Enugu, SE Region

It was an exciting day on Thursday the 18th of April 2024 when Enugu State hosted participants from the states in the South Eastern part of Nigeria for the Regional Step down training of Immunization Champions.

The workshop held at the Robans Hotel in Enugu and was attended by about 50 participants which included facilitators, speakers and invited guests from the five states (Imo, Anambra, Abia, Ebonyi and Enugu) in the region.

The PAN president Dr Ekanem Ekure was represented by the PAN Treasurer Dr Beatrice Ezenwa. The participants consisted of doctors, nurses and social media influencers. It was a rich workshop which aimed to train Immunization Champions to dispel vaccine rumors, misinformation and vaccine hesitancy as well as promote the uptake of vaccines especially the recently introduced HPV vaccines.
