February 4th is marked annually as World Cancer Day!

The theme for the year 2025 is “United by Unique.”

Every person with a cancer diagnosis has a unique story, and it will take all of us, united, to create an environment where we see the person beyond the disease and the patient. That’s why this year’s theme is exploring a people-centred approach to cancer care that fully integrates each individuals unique needs. #UnitedByUnique

In another development, Nigeria has been officially accepted as a WHO Global Initiative for Childhood Cancer (GICC) focus country! 🌍🎗 This milestone means Nigeria will receive targeted support from the WHO to improve childhood cancer care, including better diagnosis, treatment access, and survival rates for children. This is a huge step forward for Nigerian children and families, and we celebrate this progress together!
