The Paediatric Association of Nigeria (PAN) joins all children with stroke, their caregivers, healthcare providers, and the global community in marking this year’s (2024) World Stroke Day.
Stroke is one of the leading causes of death and disability among children worldwide. PAN appreciates the zeal and courage of children with stroke in overcoming its associated challenges as well as the expertise and dedication to provision of care by their caregivers and healthcare providers.
In conjunction with the 2024 World Stroke Day theme which is, ‘Be#Greater than Stroke’, PAN enjoins all stakeholders and the global community to: Promote physical activity in stroke prevention and recovery; Identify and support children with stroke and their caregivers; and Strengthen early intervention in stroke management and all stroke preventive strategies.
