PANConf GATEWAY 2026: Abeokuta prepares to host Paediatricians from across the world

Preparations are in top gear for the 57th Annual General Meeting and Scientific conference of the Paediatric Association of Nigeria (PAN) tagged “PANConf GATEAWAY 2026’. The Paediatric Association of Nigeria is a non-governmental non-political and non-profit association of healthcare professionals involved in the care of, and advocacy for, the Nigerian child.

PANConf  is one of the oldest medical conferences in Nigeria, and is an annual gathering of Nigerian paediatricians and a wide community of professionals committed to improving child health. The conference, which has grown to become one of the most influential medical gatherings in West Africa, will once again bring together clinicians, researchers, policymakers, development partners, and innovators to address urgent challenges affecting Nigerian children.

This year’s conference will be taking place at the EMFELIX EVENTS AND CONFERENCE CENTRE, beside Chrisland University, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, Ogun state, from 21st to 23rd January, 2026. The theme for this edition is  “Achieving SDG-3 Through Innovative Funding Models and Technology-Driven Solutions,” and it underscores the commitment of Nigerian paediatricians to advancing child health through sustainable, forward-looking approaches. As the world races toward the 2030 deadline for the Sustainable Development Goals, the conference will focus on practical pathways towards achieving SDG 3—good health and well-being—especially for children in low-resource and under-served settings.

PANConf Gateway 2026 will offer an eclectic mix of workshops, abstract presentations, exhibitions, interactive forums, and capacity-building programmes. These platforms will further strengthen collaboration among professionals across multiple disciplines—including haematology/oncology neonatology, gastroenterology and child nutrition, infectious diseases, emergency paediatrics, adolescent health, public health, health systems research, and so much more
