Nigerian Journal of Paediatrics, The Journal provides a medium for the dissemination of knowledge in all fields of Paediatrics and Child Health and serves as a forum for the publication of general information and reports of conference proceedings.
The maiden issue of the NJP appeared in 1974, with Dr A. Antia as Foundation Editor in Chief. It is worthy of note that Dr A. Antia remained as Editor-In-Chief (EIC) of the Journal until his voluntary retirement in January 1998, after twenty-four years of meritorious and selfless service to the Association. He was succeeded by Dr W.I. Aderele.
On inception, the Editorial Board comprised in 1988, membership of the Board was enlarged to include a Deputy EIC.
